Privacy, Terms & Disclaimer

Everything governing your use of Calcmywallet, in one place and in plain English wherever the law allows it.

Effective: 10 August 2026 Last updated: 11 August 2026

The short version

  • Your calculator inputs never leave your device. Salaries, balances and loan figures are processed entirely inside your browser. We never receive them, so we cannot store, share or lose them.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand which pages get used. It sets cookies and collects your IP address and browsing behaviour on this site.
  • Ads are served by Google, which uses cookies to select and measure them.
  • We only get personal details if you send them — by email or through the contact form.
  • We do not sell your personal data, and we never ask for financial credentials, card numbers or account logins.

This summary is for orientation only. The full policy below is what applies.

Privacy Policy

At Calcmywallet ("we", "our", "us"), accessible at calcmywallet.com, protecting the privacy of our visitors is a priority. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.

Questions about this policy can be sent to calcmywallet@gmail.com.

1. Information We Collect

a. Figures you enter into our calculators — not collected

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Loan amounts, interest rates, salary figures, card balances and every other value you type are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us, written to our servers, or stored in any database. There is no submit step that sends your finances anywhere. When you close the tab, the figures are gone.

b. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure and analytics record standard technical information when you visit:

  • IP address (and the approximate region derived from it)
  • Browser type, version and language
  • Device type and operating system
  • Date and time of your visit
  • Pages viewed, time on page, and the referring or exit page

This is used to understand which tools are useful, diagnose faults, and keep the site secure. It is not used to identify you personally, and we do not attempt to link it to your name.

c. Information you provide voluntarily

If you email us or use the contact form, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address and the content of your message. It is used solely to respond to you, and it is not added to a marketing list.

We will never ask you for bank account numbers, card details, passwords, national insurance or social security numbers, or login credentials of any kind. No legitimate message from us will ever request them. Treat any message that does as fraudulent.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We and our third-party providers use them for analytics and advertising. The cookies typically set on this site are:

CookieSet byPurposeTypical duration
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes unique visitors2 years
_ga_<ID>Google Analytics 4Maintains session state for this property2 years
__gads, __gpiGoogle AdSenseAd selection, frequency capping and measurementUp to 13 months
IDE, DSIDGoogle (DoubleClick)Personalised advertising and conversion measurementUp to 13 months
wordpress_*, wp-settings-*WordPressOnly set for logged-in site administrators, not ordinary visitorsSession to 1 year

Durations are set by the provider and may change. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time — the calculators will continue to work normally, because they do not rely on cookies.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and understand which calculators and guides people use. It collects your IP address, device and browser information, and your activity on this site. Google processes this data on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle it.

You can prevent this entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

4. Advertising

This site is free to use and is supported by advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

  • Personalised ads. Third-party vendors may use cookies to tailor the ads you see to your interests and browsing history.
  • Opting out of personalisation. Visit Google Ad Settings to control Google's personalised advertising, or aboutads.info and Your Online Choices to opt out of participating third-party vendors.
  • What advertisers receive. Ad servers automatically receive your IP address when an ad is delivered. They may use cookies, JavaScript or web beacons within their own advertisements.

Advertising has no influence on our calculations or editorial content. We do not accept payment to alter a result or recommend a product.

5. Third-Party Services and Links

This policy covers Calcmywallet only. Third-party ad networks and any external sites we link to operate under their own privacy policies, and we have no control over their practices. We encourage you to read the policy of any site you visit from here.

Some pages load web fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers that includes your IP address.

6. How We Use Information

  • To operate, maintain and secure the website
  • To understand which tools and guides are used, so we can improve them
  • To diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse
  • To respond to messages you send us
  • To display advertising that keeps the site free

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except as described in this policy.

7. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests — for site security, fault diagnosis and basic traffic measurement.
  • Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies, where consent is required. You may withdraw it at any time by clearing and blocking cookies in your browser.
  • Legitimate interests — for replying to correspondence you initiate.

8. Data Retention

Calculator inputs are never retained, because they are never received. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and is then deleted.

9. Your Privacy Rights

EEA and UK (GDPR)

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data, in the circumstances the law provides
  • Restriction and objection — ask us to limit or stop certain processing
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

California (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Know what categories of personal information are collected and why
  • Request deletion of personal information we have collected
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal data
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise any of these rights, email calcmywallet@gmail.com. We aim to respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Security and International Transfers

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because our calculators run locally, the most sensitive information you handle here never travels across the network at all. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security for the data we do receive.

Our third-party providers, including Google, may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in their own policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms of Service

By accessing or using calcmywallet.com you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site.

1. Acceptance

Unless otherwise stated, Calcmywallet and its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the material on this site, including the software, code, layout, design, written content and calculator logic. All rights are reserved.

You may
  • View, use and print pages from Calcmywallet for your own personal, non-commercial use
  • Share a link to any page on this site
  • Quote a short extract with clear attribution and a link back
You must not
  • Republish, sell, rent or sub-license material from this site

  • Present our content as your own

3. Permitted Use

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes, and not in any way that damages the site or impairs its availability or accessibility to others.

4. No Warranty

The site and its calculators are provided "as is" and "as available". While we work to keep the calculations correct and the guides current, we make no warranties, express or implied, as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability or suitability of any output or content.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calcmywallet and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of this website, its calculators or its educational content — including any financial decision made in reliance on them. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

6. Third-Party Links and Advertising

This site contains links to external websites and displays third-party advertising. We do not monitor, endorse or take responsibility for the content, products, privacy practices or accuracy of any third party.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Financial Disclaimer

Educational and estimation purposes only. All calculators, formulas, tools, articles and estimates on Calcmywallet are provided strictly for educational, informational and general estimation purposes.

1. Not Professional Advice

Nothing on this website constitutes financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment or underwriting advice. We are not a bank, lender, broker, credit provider or licensed financial adviser, and we are not regulated as one. No relationship of adviser and client is created by using this site.

2. How Our Estimates Are Produced

Our calculators apply standard mathematical models — amortisation formulas, compound interest and generalised tax assumptions — to the figures you enter. They do not know your credit score, your lender's underwriting rules, your regional tax bands, your benefit entitlements or your wider circumstances.

Results generally exclude lender fees, origination charges, insurance, property taxes, registration costs, penalty rates and local levies unless a tool explicitly states otherwise. Real figures will differ.

3. Accuracy

We take accuracy seriously and test our calculators against established benchmark figures before publishing. Even so, we make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability or suitability of any output. If you believe a result is wrong, please tell us and we will investigate.

4. Verify Before You Commit

Before taking out a loan, consolidating debt, adjusting tax withholdings or making any significant financial commitment:

  • Consult a licensed financial adviser, certified accountant, mortgage broker or qualified tax professional
  • Confirm all rates, repayment schedules and fees directly with your bank, lender or employer
  • Read the official documentation and illustrations your provider is required to give you

If you are struggling with debt, a non-profit credit counselling service in your country can give free, impartial help.

5. Your Responsibility

Any decision you make after using this site is yours alone. You use these tools and this content entirely at your own risk.
